Mock Race / Simulation

Each year, GTC offers a Mock Race Simulation to help our Beginner Clinic members prepare for their first Triathlon. The event is open to all GTC members. Please arrive early to rack your bike, get your gear set up, wetsuit on and warm up, and be ready to race by 6:30 P.M.

Volunteers will be present to help you get set up, answer any questions you might have, and direct you on the swim, bike and run course.

This Race will take the place of our normal Wednesday BRIC workout. We encourage everyone to come out to test out the Guelph Lake I race course and help our Beginner Clinic members get ready for their race.

The Grand River Conservation Area (GRCA) charges a fee to enter the park ($8.50).

Event Schedule

Time: 6 pm set-up and warm up – please arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to get ready and warm up
Race Start: 6:30 pm SHARP!
Event: Swim (350 m), Bike (10 km), Run (2.5 km)
Location: Guelph Lake, Main Beach – enter the Conservation through the main gate – an entrance fee applies
Parking: Please park in the main parking lot, beside the Main Beach
Volunteers: Please arrive at 6 pm
